TGIF and a Great Dinner Date At Kuishin Bo!

May 8, 2010

From where I left off in my previous post.. the beginning of this post is a tribute to my favourite local fashion ‘icon’:
Michelle Chia

[Credits to]

Michelle Chia’ style has always been va-va-voom! And I really like it. She’s got the bod and the looks (which makes her a very blessed woman!) I met her in person once at Citylink Mall.. and she looks incredible in person. Her physique is really good and I really think her style’s timeless. Love the burberry outfit that she wore!

Well, enough of gushing about her.

Thank God it’s Friday. Like seriously.

These past few days have been a really mad rush and I’ve got like a gazillion things on my mind which are running day in day out of my mind. And though busy is good, late nights have been wearing me out especially for the past 2 days. Calvin said my face literally looked like someone owed me a million dollars!  Haha..

But well, my dearest Calvin knew how hard I have worked for this week.. so he brought me to Great World City’s Kuishin Bo! It was yummy-licious and we certainly tried our best to try every single thing! But goodness, the variety is just too much and we only ate our favourites which is sashimi (and loads of it!), kaminabe beef  (hokkien people, it’s a soup not some vulgarity. haha), the western-japanese fusion type of sushi, teppanyaki and DESSERT!

The funny thing is.. everyone was piling up their plates with the huge pieces of crab and I just had one cos i really didn’t know how to take the meat out. And i ended up with more flatten crab shells.

I didn’t take many photos because Calvin doesn’t like to take photos when he’s eating. hahaha..

Oh well, overall it was a well deserved treat. >.<

Sunday’s mummy’s day! 😀 But I haven’t planned anything yet. Oh well..  I guess what’s most important is that I shower her with love every single day.. hehe.. I got to bear that more in mind.

Well, folks! have a good mummy’s day weekend with your mums! I’m off to bed! Finally before 2am. haha.. It’s a great weekend ahead! I can feel it! Have fun everyone!

I had a friend who asked me, “How do you and Calvin maintain your relationship? You guys are still so loving!”  It takes a lot of effort and Pastor Prince once shared this that really stuck with me for a long time. Let it be your prayer that you love your partner the way God loves him/her. Unconditional, ever faithful. 🙂 We have our squabbles and arguments, but I guess at the end of the day, knowing why you are together in the first place, makes it a lot easier. Hee!

Unconditional Love.

September 9, 2009

We all have our quirks and flaws. It’s sometimes simply because it’s just the way we are. We flare up, throw tantrums, sigh and just vent our frustrations on our loved ones. But when you know that despite all that, you are loved, then you know you are the recipient of unconditional love.

I feel that unconditional love is something that surpasses all logical thinking. Logic can’t explain unconditional love because it defies all of logic’s reasoning and practicality. Logic can’t phantom why someone can love another despite being subjected to unfair treatment etc.

What I love about unconditional love is that it’s forgiving, always showered without any particular reason and most of all, it’s from the heart.

“4 Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

He said to me today,

“I will do anything that will make you smile.”

The 4th Anniversary of Our First Meeting

August 21, 2009

Today marks the 4th anniversary of the day God introduced me and Calvin to each other in His own special way.

20th August 2005.

Tanah Merah MRT.

A Jack Russell.

A Taxi Cab.(with 2 jokers)

Other people who were ‘part of it’ include: Weixiong, Shiva and NUS BizCom ’05/06 Freshmen Orientation people

Friends who are close to us would know of the mysterious way God worked to let us know each other. It seemed planned yet seemed all a coincidence. But of course, we like to believe that God was our ‘matchmaker’ and pulled the strings to bring us to where we are today.

4 years ago, we wouldn’t have thought we would be here we are today. It’s amazing. In 4 years, we’ve graduated, travelled together to South Korea & Mauritius, registered 2 companies, made the headlines of a local paper, got on TV and got our own office. The road has been an awesome one and I just know it’s going to get more exciting. We have gotten our office space in a prime location just outside of the CBD (details will be revealed closer to October) and we’re looking forward to setting the office up and moving in by the first week of October.

Designing is in its way with me drawing and erasing on the floor plan. It’s a really fun process and at the same time, it just made us realize how important it is for us to plan our steps ahead and to look forward to the things that are going to happen for us. Though I do not deny that I do have my worries and fears but having them doesn’t solve any problem. The only way is to just move forward and push for our dreams and success.

At 18 years old back then, i never dreamt of owning my own company and office. Today at 23 years old, I can only say that my faith in God and the people around me brought me to where I am today. I know that ‘the best is yet to be’ (my favourite motto ever since my 1st 3 months stint at ACJC longgg time ago) and I’m just getting ready for the best ride I’m ever going to have.

I’ve made a commitment to actually update my blog more regularly in order to make sure that people do know what’s happening to us. Because I hate to have that feeling that people think our newspaper feature is just a one-time publicity stint. It’s not. We are now a full-fledged Internet Marketing company since 2007 and we are looking to establish our presence even more so now. 🙂

So stay tuned to Calvin Woon and Patricia Lin! 😀

Life After Visiting South Korea

May 14, 2009

I apologise for my lack of updates during the past month! It’s been quite a hectic month even though we went for vacation to Seoul, South Korea. That’s because before we left, we needed to make sure that work was done and covered for that week. And after we came back, it was back to work to prepare for various projects that we were coming up with. Also, my aunt from the States, together with her husband and my cousin flew into town in the same week that I arrived back.

I must say I was still recovering from the trip to Korea (we walked, shopped and ate a lot) which kind of left me a little exhausted, during the week that we returned. But I was ready to give my aunt and family my best – showing them around Singapore and being a good host. I sure hope I did okay! 😛 Anyway, it was really great to see them again, especially since I saw them 9 years ago!

A lot of people have been asking me to post up my pictures from our trip to Korea but I’ve been procrastinating about it BECAUSE I TOOK 767 PHOTOS. hahahaha… I think I’m really famous for taking so many random photos when I’m travelling cos I take about 100 photos a day! Calvin was totally tired of having to pose for me, smile and say Cheese. LOL! But my mentality is that pictures tell a thousand words and capture the moment as it is. There’s no point for me to narrate to you what I did in Korea, how are the people and what are the foods we ate, because it leaves your imagination dry after some time. So, photos I feel say the best of the place that I visited. 😀

So yes, I will try my very best to actually leave some time to devote more to blogging on my personal blog. (How many times have I said that???) But you can be sure that this domain name will always be remain mine and here and well, just pop back to see what I have in store at the moment.

That’s all for now from me!

Oh, just an update: I’ll be flying off to the Philippines for a family vacation. So, yep, you can expect another update really soon!

I’m going to South Korea!

April 15, 2009

I can’t believe that I actually planned a trip out to South Korea! Frankly, it all happened so fast one night – me and my best friend, Peiling. We were chatting about travelling together and to South Korea. And the next minute I knew, we were scouring the internet for cheap air tickets and accomodation to the beautiful country. Of course, Calvin’s part of the action too! Haha.. though he’s more of a sleeping participant, probably till we really arrive in South Korea.

I really can’t wait to go South Korea and travel to a new destination! And best of all, travelling with my friends! Of course, I do feel guilty for leaving my parents in our sunny country while I enjoy myself in South Korea… BUT, I can’t help it!!! It’s too good a chance to miss!!!

Here’s what I’m looking forward to:

We just changed our Singapore dollars to Korean won and it’s really funny because Calvin keeps teasing that we are multimillionaires in Korea. Just because the exchange rate is 1000 KRW: SGD 1.15. Haha..

Well, it’s a trip that we are looking forward to because it’s our second trip out of the country! Plus to a new country… The first being Mauritius. 😀 You can take a look at my photos from the trip here!

Alright, time for me to head to bed! It’s been a long day. Full 10 am to 12am work.. But a really productive day I must say!

Looking forward to a brand new day tomorrow! 😀
