Sometimes, circumstances can influence your attitude towards your predicament or situation and you wonder, how a person who is normally optimistic or has a positive attitude, can suddenly turn negative. Well, our attitude is the way of looking at the world. There are definitely situational factors that influence our attitudes, behaviour and thoughts. But it’s always important to maintain a positive attitude despite being faced with challenges or situations that just cause you to just be flooded with negative thoughts.

A positive attitude promotes better health, encourages better socialising with people and you will be able to handle stress and problems better because you are optimistic that things will get better or instead of harping on what you can’t do, you might be searching for solutions. A negative attitude, on the other hand, has, of course, an opposite effect. So, carrying a negative attitude will make you feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way. If positive attitude is really great, why do people choose to adopt a negative attitude instead?
He/she may actually be sending a signal for attention. Negative feelings such as sadness, anger, disappointment are unavoidable in life, but it is when we keep dwelling on them that we program ourselves automatically to think negatively.
Although it is impossible to keep ourselves from the negative things around us, we need to always carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life. And this positive attitude can be of benefit to other people around us.
